
The Ministry of Agriculture has issued a decision lifting the ban on the imports of cattle, sheep, and goats for the purpose of slaughtering and breeding from the Republic of Georgia, according to a number of conditions.
It sets these conditions that all consignments are for the purpose of slaughtering and breeding accompanied by a health certificate from a competent governmental authorities in Georgia after its modification in accordance with the terms of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE)as well as the conditions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and they shall be numbered and remained in quarantine for a period of no less than 21 days at the approved isolation places by the Ministry of Agriculture and under full and direct supervision by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The conditions also include the vaccination of animals with foot and mouth disease vaccine based on the applicable program in the Republic of Georgia with the shipment of the consignment of the animals in a period not exceeding three months from the date of their last vaccination.
