Seoul local companies rank in top 10 in 9 industries

South Korean companies ranked No. 1 in the global home appliances and shipbuilding industries last year and were among the world's top 10 in seven other sectors, a local market researcher said Sunday.
Samsung Electronics, the country's biggest family-run conglomerate, came on top in household appliances like TVs, monitors and white goods, followed by another South Korean firm LG Electronics, according to CEO Score. The researcher, which tracks corporate management data, based its results on global sales
