
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will discuss with Italian businessmen investment opportunities in Egypt during his visit to Rome on Nov. 24, head of the Italian Egyptian Business Council Khalid Abu Bakr said on Friday.
During his visit, the president will review Cairo's vision for expected mega-national projects, Abu Bakr told MENA.
Italy is the top European investor in Egypt, he said, adding, "it is a strategic partner to Egypt."
Sisi will meet with the Italian president and Prime Minister Matteo Renzi to discuss economic cooperation and coordination on illegal immigration, he added.
Italy invests $20 billion in projects in Egypt, Abu Bakr added, noting taht Italian businessmen put eye on Egypt as a gate to Africa.
