The Cairo Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and Arab-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Development (AHCCD) inked a protocol to increase trade exchange and open new horizons in the Greek and Egyptian markets.
Secretary General of AHCCD Rashad Mabger said that Egypt is the Arab partner to Greece and it comes first among the volume of Greek investments in the Arab states.
Mabger urged removing all bureaucratic obstacles to increase cooperation and investment between both countries to create new job opportunities for the Egyptian youth and improve their living conditions.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce Ali Shokry said that the chamber seeks boosting and developing economic ties to activate exports and imports and benefit from the available investment opportunities.
He asserted the need to strengthen commercial ties between work institutes in Egypt and their counterparts in Greece via participation in commercial and economic conferences and exhibitions.
Shokry asserted the need to establish joint commercial and economic entities between Egyptian and Greek businessmen to increase economic integration between the two countries.
It is important to benefit from the geographic position of both states, he added.
Volume of trade between Egypt and Greece reached 1.6 billion euros in 2015 with a 6.5% increase than 2014.
