Thai Minister of Industry Pongsavas Svasti on Friday met with UAE's Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi, currently on a visit to Bangkok. During their meeting, they emphasized the importance of developing trade partnerships, utilizing and benefiting from joint investments, and strengthening relations in all fields in order to capitalize on the potentials and capabilities of both countries, UAE's official WAM news agency reported. The two sides also discussed the possibility of establishing Thai trade offices in the UAE, with one specializing in investments and the other in food manufacturing. Sheikha Lubna noted that the UAE's "possession of an advanced infrastructure of airports and maritime ports that provide access for Thai products into all Middle Eastern and African countries" is why Thailand should choose the UAE to open such offices.
