
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday that Albanian government has put up for sale the state-owned oil company Albpetrol.
"We are all aware of the importance the energy industry has in the program of the government as one of the most important resource of the economic development of Albania," stated Rama.
Rama announced that 2015 will be the year for Albpetrol's final privatization process.
It was reported that the company's employees, now standing at at more than 2000, will be reduced to 1200 before the privatization of the company.
"We aim to enhance the cooperation between the government and foreign investors and appeal for further investments in Albania," he said.
