The Chinese subsidiary of Chrysler will recall cars on the Chinese mainland over flaws that may lead to fires, China’s General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said.
It will involve 25,505 imported Grand Cherokees produced between Jan. 1, 2011, and Dec. 11, 2013, the country’s watchdog said in an online statement.
Cords in the vehicles’ sun visors may lead to short circuits or fires, according to China’s (Xinhua) News Agency.
The recall will start on Oct. 20 and the company will replace the flawed cords free of charge, the statement said.
