
Minister of Trade and Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour held an expanded meeting on Friday with representatives of major French companies to promote mega economic projects in Egypt.
During the meeting, Abdel Nour invited French investors to partake in an economic conference, slated for March 13-15 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
Abdel Nour reviewed a number of laws on investment along with development projects, such as the New Suez Canal.
The meeting also tackled a number of projects in the fields of infrastructure, renewable energy, transport and urban development.
Present at the meeting was Egypt’s Ambassador in Paris Ehab Badawy.
Earlier in the day, Abdel Nour met with the French minister of finance to discuss the investment climate in Egypt.
The Egyptian minister is due to meet with the French president's advisor for foreign trade affairs later in the day to discuss ways to increase the volume of trade exchange between both countries.
