
Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman held a series of meetings on Wednesday on the sidelines of the conference which is being organized in Cairo by the American Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Egyptian-American Businessmen Council.
Salman met with the adviser to the US Secretary of State David Thorne who leads a delegation of businessmen representing 70 major US companies, and discussed with them means to promote investment opportunities in Egypt.
Throne expressed his country's confidence in Egypt's economy in the light of the political and economic stability Egypt enjoys now.
Salman met also with representatives of the companies operating in the financial services, food industries, natural gas and fertilizers, who expressed keenness on pumping more investments into Egypt's emerging markets.
