The Executive Director of the Erbil International Fair, Hardi Omar, announced in a press conference that 50 national and international oil and gas companies will take part in the second Erbil International Fair starting on September 3. The three-day exhibition will see the presence of international and high-profile oil and gas companies -including Italian, Iraqi, Emirati, Turkish, Chinese, Romanian, Canadian, German and Cypriot, Norwegian, Iranian and Swiss organisations- who will participate for the first time. The Kurdistan region attached great importance to the oil and gas sectors over the last few years, raising criticism from the Baghdad government that claims the Kurdish oil and gas deals were against the constitution.
