Ferrari posted a 10% increase in net profit to 100.8 million euros in the first half of the year as the luxury sportscar maker sold more cars. Sales in the period advanced 11.9% to 1.2 billion euros, as the total number of sold cars the company delivered increased by 7.4% to 3,664 units. The carmaker's operating profit jumped 13% to 152.2 million euros in the period. "These results were achieved in an international economic context that is still very difficult, and reflect our constant and significative investments in innovation technology," Chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said. "The complete range of products we can today offer clients across the globe allows us to forecast full year figures that are higher than last years results". The results were approved at a board meeting today overseen by Montezemolo. Montezemolo went on to say that the Ferrari in coming months would be concentrated on building a "revolutionary road vehicle" and on the Formula 1 Championship.
