
Minister of Finance Hani Qadri held a meeting Friday with representatives of major British companies and banks on the sidelines of his visit to London.
The meeting was organized by the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce, the Egyptian-British Business Council and the Commercial Bureau of the Egyptian Embassy.
During the meeting, Qadri reviewed reform steps taken by the Egyptian government and ways to restore confidence in the Egyptian economy along with measures taken to achieve economic recovery.
The Egyptian government is seeking to liberalize the energy sector and open new horizons for investments in the fields of conventional and renewable energy along with offering projects in various fields attracting large segments of investors, he said.
He pointed out positive indicators of the Egyptian economy during the past period.
The government is due to issue dollar bonds before June, he said.
