Hyundai Elevator Co., South Korea's No. 1 moving solutions provider, said Sunday it has obtained a US$13.1 million order to build elevators and escalators at subway stations in Istanbul.
Hyundai Elevator will install 189 escalators and 49 elevators at 16 stations along a 20-kilometer-long subway line in the Turkish capital under a deal with Turkish builder Dogus, the company said.
Hyundai Elevator said it will also take part in bids to build 250 subway stations by 2024 in Istanbul, adding it is pushing to export platform screen doors to the country as well, according to South Korea's (Yonhap) News Agency.
Hyundai Elevator recently won a $5.8 million deal to provide 351 elevators to the United Arab Emirates.
