
Hyundai Motor, South Korea's largest automaker, saw its third-quarter operating profit fall 18 percent from a year earlier, a regulatory filing showed on Thursday.
Hyundai's operating profit declined to 1.65 trillion won (1.56 billion U.S. dollars) during the July-September period from 2.01 trillion won in the same period of last year.
From three months earlier, the operating profit sank 21 percent in the third quarter.
Revenue climbed 2.2 percent from a year earlier to 21.28 trillion won in the third quarter, but net income tumbled 28.3 percent to 1.62 trillion won in the same period.
