
The WGC2012 will be held under the theme of 'Gas: Sustaining Future Global Growth'. The WGC2012 is set to become the most important event in the gas sector and will offer the platform from which important information on the technological, economical and environmental developments within the gas industry can be disseminated and shared. The event will see the participation of industrial and political leaders, gas executives, makers and movers of the industry. The world's key gas producers including Russia and Qatar will attend the conference along with companies from the US, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Japan, Turkey, Belgium, Norway, and China. Iran has 137.6 billion barrels of proven oil reserves and 29.61 trillion cubic meters of proven gas reserves, ranking second in the world in both oil and gas reserves. According to the Iranian officials, Iran produces 600 million cubic meters of gas per day, 37 million cubic meters of which are exported.
