The global export volume of Iran Tractor Manufacturing Industrial Group has undergone a 154% increase in the last 9 months, a Group official said. ITMIG Managing Director Abolfath Ebrahimi told FNA on Monday that his group has exported nearly 2,800 tractors to the foreign countries worth $41 million. The group consists of tractor manufacturing companies in Tabriz, Kurdistan and Orumiyeh. Ebrahimi cited Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka and Sudan as well as Iran's neighboring countries, and African and Central Asian states as among his company's main customers. Iran is a major tractor-manufacturer and exporter. Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company (ITM Co.) in the Northwestern city of Tabriz has exported many of its products to a large number of world countries, and launched assembly lines in various parts of the world, including South America. Bolivia has recently demanded ITM Co. to launch a tractor-manufacturing line in Bolivia. ITM Co. has also built a tractor-manufacturing company in Venezuela called Veniran. Veniran is a joint venture company between Venezuela and Iran. Located in the provincial capital of Ciudad Bolivar, the plant manufactures tractors for peasants and socialist cooperatives across Latin America. Also, the Kurdistan branch of ITMIG, or Kurdistan Tractor-Manufacturing Company (KTMC) exported 200 tractors to Iraq and Afghanistan in October.
