Regional Director of Kuwait Airways Corporation Bader Al-Amiri said KAC realized profit of KD 86 million in the first half of 2011, an up of 14 percent, specifically for the period from April 1 to October 31.Addressing an annual event to honor some travel agencies for unique service in 2010-2011, he said the increase in profit came through cooperation with such agencies. The same period last year saw profit of only KD 75 million. The increase is also due to keen efforts by marketing and sales staff. The Hajj and Omrah season, including Ramadan, this year saw the carrier transporting 16,000 pilgrims to the holy lands in Ramadan alone. This was at 98 of aircraft capacity and is an increase of 46 percent from last year. The Hajj season saw 10,000 pilgrims traveling with KAC, which is an increase of 32 percent. As always, KAC is keen on providing customers and travelers with the best and latest services to make their travel experience a pleasant one. The airline, Al-Amiri stressed, exerts all due effort to remain the top choice among airlines operating in the Kuwaiti market and fully utilizes all its expertise and resources to this end.
