Tending to people with special needs is part of Kuwait Oil Company's (KOC) obligations toward society, KOC Chief Executive Officer said Thursday. Hashim Hashim said in a seminar on youth initiatives in communities that all layers of the society are essential in the economic development of the country; hence, KOC has always tended to people with disabilities to utilize their maximum potentials to serve their country. Disabilities should not be hurdles that marginalize this layer of the society that could put to use, Hashim added. KOC has taken on its shoulders to campaign for these people in the hope of changing the stereotypical perspective of the public towards people with special needs. After his speech, a number of people with disabilities relayed their personal accounts and how they overcome their disabilities through determination, aspiration and perseverance
