The owner of Seventh Heaven Therapies says that one Sunday in a Spa hotel helped inspire to start her own beauty business I always felt it would be a dream come true to be able work with my hands. I started out in beauty 15 years ago, having trained at Roberta Mechan's beauty college as a mature student. After completing my studies, Roberta chose me to work at her private cosmetic clinic, on the Lisburn Road. Before long, I felt that it was still not enough to satisfy my need to provide hands-on treatments that made a difference. I met and was inspired by Amanda Brady, Senior Lecturer and co-ordinator of Holistic Therapies at BIFHE and began a chapter of years of training in aromatherapy, advanced body massage, Indian head massage and reflexology. It was the start my philosophy of treating people holistically, whether it be a short beauty treatment, hair removal or facial - people often said they felt so relaxed even after mildly painful hair removal treatments. My epiphany moment arrived whilst I was at a Spa Hotel, in Donegal; I retreated with a magazine and first read about Environ Skin care. This is a natural skin care range using vitamins A,C,E antioxidants, sunscreens etc, developed by a cosmetic surgeon and available (just) in the UK. The results looked phenomenal and I was intrigued. I never forgot about that article. A few years later I tracked down a salon that provided Environ Skincare and facials and decided to try it for myself. I was so pleased with the results that I looked into obtaining the range for my clients. I trained in all the product range, and have been offering it to my clients for over two years. I have introduced Environ's Collagen Stimulation Therapy treatment - which is a completely natural procedure, which uses the skins powers of rejuvenation and gives dramatic improvements without the need for surgery and can be done on all areas of the face and body. I am glad that Sunday in the Spa hotel lead me to my successful business today.
