
Qatar Railways Company (Qatar Rail) held a management summit for its senior leadership team, where the company reviewed progress reports and performance's targets, and explored the best strategic initiatives to develop the leadership of the company and achieve continuous improvement in the business.
One of the main objectives of the Qatar Rail's management retreat was to ensure that the company combines excellence and innovation in delivering the project with excellence and innovation in management practice.
The event kicked-off with a welcome note by Eng. Abdulla Abdulaziz Al Subaie, Managing Director and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Qatar Rail.
Al Subaie said: "As the Doha Metro Tunnel Boring Machines operations are advancing as planned, we look forward to see more milestones on sites in the near future while adhering to time plans and budgets".
He added: "We are using the latest technologies to bring a new rail network to Qatar and have developed a real excellence in project delivery. We need to ensure that we take the same approach to innovation in our management practice so that Qatar Rail becomes a real leader in the corporate sector." This management summit came as part of Qatar Rail’s acknowledgment of its employees’ high value, and their role in the company's development and success.
Qatar Rail is the company responsible for the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the entire rail network and systems in Qatar which constitutes of the Doha Metro, the Lusail Light Rail Transit and the Long Distance Rail Network for Passengers and Freight.
