
Qatar Telecom (Qtel) announced Tuesday that Qtel International Finance Limited (QIFL), its wholly owned subsidiary, pursuant to the Terms and Conditions of the Notes and the Final Terms, will pay its Global Medium Term Note (GMTN) holders interest payments on the 16th of August, 2012. The Issuer (Qtel International Finance Limited ) hereby gives notice that it will pay Noteholders USD 23,750,000.00 on the Interest Payment Date falling due on 16 Aug 2012, Qtel said in a statement published on the (Qatar Exchange) website. In 2009, Qtel announced the adoption of its Global Finance s $5 billion GMTN program in the London Stock Exchange. Qtel Telecom, a Qatari public shareholding company, is a leading international communications company, with a significant presence in the MENA region and Southeast Asia, and having a consolidated customer base of 83 million as of December 2011. It operates a portfolio of brands including Qtel, Indosat, Asiacell, Wataniya, Nawras, Nedjma and Tunisiana. Qtel's principle activities are mobile telephone services, broadband solutions, digital futures and fiber technologies, serving both consumer and business markets. (QNA)
