A California court has released an order lifting the ban on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 sales, in the latest development over the patent legal battle between the firm and Apple. "The sole basis for the June 26 Preliminary Injunction no longer exists," US District Judge Lucy Koh wrote. "Based on these facts alone, the Court finds it proper to dissolve the injunction." In a statement acquired by CNN, Samsung said it was pleased by the court's decision, saying it "vindicates our position that there was no infringement of Apple's design patent and that an injunction was not called for." Apple Inc. filed its patent infringement lawsuit in April 2011 and engaged lawyers to demand $2.7 billion from its top smartphone competitor. Samsung Electronics Co. fired back with its own lawsuit seeking $519 million.
