Samsung's chemical arm boasts top paycheck among affiliates

Samsung Fine Chemicals Co., a chemical arm of South Korea's top conglomerate Samsung Group, paid out the highest salary to its workers in the first half among the group's affiliates, data showed Tuesday, hovering above the group's mainstay, Samsung Electronics Co.
The average monthly paycheck of the chemical arm came in at 7.67 million won (US$7,538) over the January-June period, the company's biannual financial report showed, becoming the most well-paid affiliate of the group. The amount is inclusive of income tax.
