
Zamil Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Services Co., a sector business of Zamil Industrial Investment Co. (Zamil Industrial), has been awarded a new contract worth SR 203 million ($ 54.1 million) from SEPCO Electric Power Construction Corporation, an affiliate of Power Construction Corporation of China, to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services of HVAC related mechanical, electrical and controls' works for the Ras Al-Khair power plant project. The project, owned by the Saline Water Conversion Corp. (SWCC), is located in the new industrial city of Ras Al-Khair in the Eastern Region. The contract was signed last week and is expected to have a positive impact on the company's consolidated financials at the end of each stage during 2014 and 2015. The duration of the contract is 30 months and work on the project will commence immediately and end in the fourth quarter of 2015. According to the agreement with SEPCO, Zamil Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Services will supply an assortment of HVAC equipment and perform all essential HVAC system engineering, supply, installation, testing and commissioning services for 39 plant buildings, 17 non-plant buildings, and a chiller plant at this vital project.
