The 56th International Fair of Technics and Technical Achievements, which brings together 500 exhibitors from 23 countries, opened Monday in Belgrade and will run through May 18. The show is one of the most important business events in Serbia and South East Europe and greatly influences their future industrial development, Milos Bugarin, president of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, said at the opening ceremony. This year's fair will showcase the latest technology in various fields, including 110 new products, 50 of them from Serbia. Companies from Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, the Netherlands, Germany and Turkey make up one half of the exhibitors, while Taiwanese businesses are making their first appearance.
