Abu Dhabi has welcomed members of the travel industry to a showpiece event at the emirate’s spectacular World Travel Market (WTM) pavilion in London. Around 100 people attended the Abu Dhabi breakfast, including 45 travel trade delegates and scores of journalists. The event also included a guest appearance by Fiona Jeffery OBE, chairman of World Travel Market. Attendees were treated to an authentic Abu Dhabi breakfast and were welcomed by Nabeel Al Zarouni, UK Country Manager, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi). Guests were also given the opportunity to have their photos taken with the Barclays Premier League trophy, currently held by Manchester City Football Club (MCFC), for which TCA Abu Dhabi is an Official Destination Partner. The breakfast was also attended by the 28 delegates involved in Abu Dhabi’s WTM pavilion at this year’s show, between them representing 39 hotels, attractions and other elements of the emirate’s tourism community. “The quantity and quality of turnout from both travel industry brands and media titles shows how keen the market is to hear about the latest chapter in Abu Dhabi’s tourism story,” commented Al Zarouni.
