
Algeria has sent 6,400 tonnes of rice to Philippines, which was seriously affected by typhoon Haiyan."As part of Algeria’s solidarity action towards the friendly Filipino people, who have been seriously affected by the typhoon Haiyan, Algeria has sent a food aid comprising mainly 6,400 tonnes of rice," the spokesperson for Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amar Belani said Tuesday in a statement to APS."To ensure that the food aid reaches the typhoon-stricken the soonest possible, we have chosen Philippine’s Department of Social Protection and Development as a partner to guarantee the good conduct of the operation," Belani added.
