The Ajman Investment in Technology Conference, which supports young business leaders, concluded on Monday. The conference, which was held under the patronage of Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, received an overwhelming response and highlighted the importance of investment in higher technological activities. The event was attended by a number of major government and private establishments, local and regional IT companies, young business leaders, government officials, business leaders, economic and academic researchers together with ambassadors, consuls and representatives of diplomatic corps accredited by the UAE. Shaikh Ammar underlined that the young leaders represent the future of innovation and technology and UAE. The conference concerns with supporting the dynamic and culture of “innovation and investment” among youth to keep abreast with the growing technological changes, enhance competitiveness, work towards creating adequate business climate, open promising technological investments. “Attract leading companies in the field of advanced technology investment, which reshaped the global economy criteria, promote sustainable economic development opportunities as part of encouraging the adoption of best practices in IT sector and support long term economic plans so that Ajman may become a hub for technology in future and excellence model in technological investment.” Bruce George Ferguson, Professor of Practice, Engineering Systems and Management, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi said: “The UAE succeeded in achieving advanced steps in the way towards minimising the economic, social and technological gaps with the developed world due to improving the climate of economic openness, adoption of advanced technology.” From : Khalij
