
Minister of Finance cum Minister in charge of Oil and GasAffairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa met the Personal Representative ofthe President of the Russian Federation Republic the Chairman of Russian GazpromViktor Zubkov and his accompanying delegation currently visiting the Kingdom ofBahrain.The Minister of Finance praised existing cooperation between the Kingdom ofBahrain and the Federal Republic of Russia, wishing the bilateral relations furtherprogress and growth to serve the interests of both friendly countries and theirpeoples. The meeting explored several topics pertinent to the oil and gas sector andinvestments in gas and energy as well as ways and means for the Kingdom ofBahrain to benefit from the expertise of Russian oil and gas companies. Theoutcomes of the previous visit of the Russian Federation President's PersonalRepresentative to Bahrain were followed up and boosting the bilateral cooperationrelations especially regarding natural gas, LPG and potential trade between the twocountries.Senior officials from the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), the Oil and Gas Holding Company, Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) and the relevant membersof the Russian delegation attended the meeting.The Ambassador of the Russian Federation Republic to the Kingdom of Bahrain Viktor Smirnov also attended the meeting.
