Serbia is Montenegro's main trade partner, with exchange totaling 416 million euros in the first eight months of this year. So said the head of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) office in Podgorica, Radivoje Rasovic. ''In the first eight months of this year, Serbia exported goods worth 363 million euros to Montenegro, while Montenegro exported 53 million euros to Serbia,'' Rasovic said. Serbia's export is dominated by food products, while Montenegro exports electricity, metals and food and beverages, mainly wines. He noted that Serbian businesses have invested over 235 million euros in Montenegro in the last ten years, mostly in the tourism and services industry. Serbian citizens make up 30 to 50 percent of all tourists in Montenegro's coastal towns, not counting those who spend their holidays in their own accommodation, said Rasovic. According to Rasovic, the PKS office in Podgorica has launched an initiative for an agreement on free trade in foods between the two countries.
