
The cabinet council, convened on Thursday in Rabat under the chairmanship of head of government Abdelilah Benkirane, adopted draft law 34-14 on the approval of agreement dated Feb. 20 , 2014 in Bamako between Morocco and Mali on the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income. The agreement concerns all taxes on the total income or on parts of it, including taxes on gains from the alienation of movable or immovable property, taxes on the total of wages paid by businesses and taxes on capital gains, said communication Minister, government spokesman Mustapha El Khalfi in a statement read at the end of the cabinet meeting. The agreement aims to avoid double taxation between the two parties, which will contribute inevitably to the strengthening of trade and economic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Mali, the Minister added.
