Chicago agricultural commodity futures were traded mixed Friday, with wheat and soybeans prices down while corn price up. The most active corn contract for May delivery rose 0.5 U.S. cent, or 0.10 percent, to 4.79 dollars per bushel. May wheat lost 10.5 cents, or 1.49 percent, to settle at 6.9325 dollars per bushel. May soybeans fell 25 cents, or 1.74 percent, to close at 14.0875 dollars per bushel. May soybeans closed lower Friday on light volume, hurt by profit-taking and talks of shrinking demand from China. May Chicago wheat also closed lower, pulling back from the excitement of this week's dust storms and the West's ongoing feud with Russia over the Ukraine crisis. News of Egypt making a huge corn purchases has buffered the spillover impact from weak wheat and soybeans markets, and boosted corn futures, which ended slightly higher with a quiet five-cent trading range
