Saudi Directorate General of Border Guard in the Eastern region will hold the Third International Symposium on marine disaster management on next Saturday in Al-Khobar. The Lt. General Zamim bin Juwaiber Al-Sawwat said the aim of the symposium, which will last for four days, is to exchange ideas, experiences and information, and to strengthen the management of marine disasters at the local, regional and international levels, pointing out that a number of experts from the Kingdom and abroad, will speak in the symposium. He added that that Koji Sekemezo from the Department of Maritime Safety, International Maritime Organisation, will attend as guest of honour at the symposium, and will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony. He noted that the seminar will be talking about maritime security and safety a number of experts from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United States, Italy, Britain, France, Sweden and the Netherlands, India, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria, Malaysia, Finland, Iran and New Zealand.
