The U.S. dollar traded narrowly within the lower 78 yen range in Tokyo on Monday on a lack of trading cues. At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 78.17-18 yen versus 78.17- 27 yen in New York and 78.04-06 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 78.06 yen and 78.19 yen during the day, changing hands most frequently at 78.14 yen. The euro changed hands at 1.3725-3726 dollars and 107.29-33 yen against 1.3784-3794 dollars and 107.84-94 yen in New York and 1. 3800-3802 dollars and 107.70-74 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
