Sudanese and Egyptian private sector-owned companies ?have signed contract at a value of 50 million dollars to import Sudanese mead during the period from June 2012 to June 2013. The contract was signed in the presence of Sudan Ambassador to Cairo, Kamal Hassan Ali, and the Assistant of the Egyptian Foreign Minister for the Sudan Affairs, Rajae Nasr, in the presence of representatives of the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and a number of officials of the Egptian public and private sectors. The two parties agreed that the targeted meat quanity to exported to Egypt is to be at rate of 1000 tons of meat monthly for one year from the date of the contact signing . The amounts are to increase gradually during the first three months to reach the targeted quantities in the fourth month. The Nile Basin Company for food products has signed on behalf of the Egyptian side whereas the Company of Multi-dimensions LTD signed for Sudan party.
