The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Days will be held next November 29-30 in Tunis. They are organised by the Industry Promotion and Innovation Agency (APIA), jointly with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA), the Small- and Medium-sized Financing Bank and the German Friedrich Naumann Association. This event is dedicated to project developers, young graduates, business managers and researchers and inventors. It aims to encourage private initiative and prompt small- and medium-sized Enterprises to integrate the innovation and technological development component. APIA Director General Ferid Tounsi said, during a news conference held on Thursday in Tunis, that these days will help young graduates better learn about mechanisms set up in the area of project and business creation and establish contacts with investors and promoters, particularly with the European Union. Several conferences and workshops will be organised on the sidelines of these days. On the agenda of the event, papers to be presented by prominent experts on the Tunisian and European experiences in matters of entrepreneurship and innovation and technological transfer and development. Co-operation conventions will also be signed during these days between APIA and national and foreign companies (TVT, SEMEDIAS, CBA, Marseilles Innovation), and prizes for best business plans of each business incubator will be awarded. An exhibition area will be fitted out, comprising 12 Start-ups and 4 major groups that will present their innovating products.
