EU allocates €8.1bn to aid Syrian people

The European Commission announced that the European Union had allocated about 8.1 billion Euros in humanitarian aid to the Syrians at home and in neighboring countries. The European Commission said in a statement, of which QNA has got a copy, that the aid provided by the European Commission and the Member States comes in response to the Syrian refugees' unprecedented humanitarian needs. The statement pointed out that this amount constitutes the largest international contribution that has been provided and a significant portion of the total international aid.
