The annual inflation in the 17-member Euro area is expected to be 2.2% in December 2012, the same as in November, according to figures released Friday by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Energy at 5.2% compared with 5.7% in November is expected to have the highest annual rate in December, it noted. Annual inflation for food, alcohol tobacco was 3.1% compared with 3.0% in November, services 1.8%, compared with 1.6% in November and non-energy industrial goods 1.1%, same like November.
