
At a conference here on Monday, experts of the G20 working group on sustainable energetics will discuss prospects for energy and raw materials markets and measures in support of investments in this sphere. The conference on the theme of "Sustainable Energetics: Development of Measures for G20" has drawn representatives of G20 and invited countries, delegates of international organizations, big business, and industry, as well as experts on power engineering, representatives of the academic community and research centers. They are to sum up the results of the acitvities of the G20 Group on Sustainable Emergetics and determine a format for G20's further work in this respect, an official at the conference's organizing committee told Itar-Tass. Taking part in the conference on the Russian side will be Ksenia Yudayeva, head of the Expert Directorate of the President of the RF and Russia's sherpa at the G20, and Sergei Novikov, Director of the Federal Tariff Service. The agenda of the conference provides for four sessions dealing with tendencies in the development of the markets of primary commodities, measures to enhance the transparency and functionality of those markets, complexities encountered on the way to ensuring an inclusive "green growth" and sustainable development, as well as measures to raise the attractiveness of the real sector of the economy for financial placemenets, regulation, and international cooperation in the sector of electric power engineering. The presentation of an official website on Global Marine Environment Protection (GMEP) - one of aspects of the energy agenda of Russia's presidency at G20 -- will be held within the framework of the conference.
