
The 37th meeting of Industry and Trade Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will be held on Wednesday at the GCC Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. GCC Assistant Secretary General for Economic Affairs Abdullah bin Juma al-Shibli, said in a statement, that the ministers will look into recommendations resulting from the preparatory meeting of GCC undersecretaries of Industry aimed at bolstering joint industrial cooperation among the six states. They will also discuss the amendments of the Uniform Act on the industrial organizational system between GCC countries, preparing a study to establish a technology incubator, as well as setting a strategy to develop the industrial sector, besides other issues. The ministers will follow up the implementation of the 36-meeting recommendations of the Industrial Cooperation Committee, besides reviewing a report issued by the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) related to the operational program of the first half of the 2013.
