Mozambique will remain its strong economic performance in 2014, IMF said Friday, predicting an eight percent growth of the country. This year's inflation in Mozambique appears to be well controlled, said Doris Ross, head of a IMF team. He warned of inflation risk in neighboring countries, especially South Africa. The IMF also called for greater transparency and prudence in regard to amending budget. The Mozambique Minister of Finance Manuel Chang said that coal mining, transport and communications, financial services and construction contributed most to the country's GDP growth, adding that Mozambique's foreign reserves has increased to 2,996 billion U.S. dollars.
