The Ministry of Interior signed QR 49 million deals with four companies on the first day of the ongoing Milipol Qatar 2012, heard of the Ministry’s Procurement Section and Milipol Committee Member Brigadier Saud Rashid Al Shafi told a press conference held today at the Milipol Qatar media center. The Ministry signed a QR 21.523 million contract with GBM for the Ministry’s information department, and a QR 5.665 million contract with Safran Morpho to supply Automated Fingerprint Identification Machine and accessories for the Ministry’s Criminal Evidence and Information Department. It also a QR14.933 million contract with Itqan Holding to develop communication system security and maintain machines and gates of smart cards for the communications and information systems departments, and a QR 8 million contract with Cassidian company to supply hardware and software for TETRA communication systems for the communications department. The ninth edition of Milipol Qatar is expected to see more transactions between the Interior Ministry and a number of companies participating in the exhibition. The press conference was attended by Director of Financial Affairs Department at the Ministry of Interior and Milipol Committee Member Colonel Ahmad Abdullah Al Jamal, and Director of Public Relations and Milipol Committee Member Colonel Abdullah Khalifa Al Muftah.
