The value of Iran’s exports of non-oil goods to Libya exceeded $4.7 million last year, Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) announced. Iran exported more than $4.73 million worth of goods to Libya in 2012, a new TPO report said. Iran’s non-oil exports to Libya in the said period included grapes, pistachios, radiators and related parts, medicine, dried pistachio and soft drinks. Last week, Iranian First Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi was quoted by Fars News Agency (FNA) as announcing that Iran’s non-oil exports witnessed an eye-catching growth in the last Iranian year (ended on March 20, 2012) despite the sanctions and restrictions imposed by the West on Tehran. “Our non-oil exports which amounted to $17bln in the year 1390 (March 2011 – March 2012) increased to $53bln in the year 1391 (which ended March 20),” Rahimi said.(
