“My purpose of visiting China is to make our partnership stronger,” said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday. The trade volume between the two countries has already gone up to billion U.S. dollars, Netanyahu pointed out during an online exclusive interview with Xinhuanet. "But I believe that it will double and double again very quickly because of the potential of our cooperation," he added. "I believe that each one of us has special advantages that we can merge them together. The benefit will exceed our expectations." He told Xinhuanet he is pleased to see the cooperation among the companies, technologies and scientists from Israel and China. "I think that the possibility of creating unimaginable products and services continuously is the future," he noted. Economic success in the 21st century, which is a knowledge-based century, will depend on sustainable growth, he went on. There's the only way to achieve increasable productivity and higher income, and bring a great leap forward for the world. On cooperation in technology, Netanyahu said, "Israel has a lot of technologies and we'd like to share them with our Chinese friends." In the period of his visit, he would discuss a number of specific projects in various fields, including energy, environment, food, water, healthcare and education, he revealed. One of them is water reclamation. "Israel is No. 1 in water reclamation in the world," he said, adding that it would take the chance to introduce related knowhow, such as preventing loss of water, purification of water and desalinization of water, to China. Netanyahu also encouraged exchanges between the two countries in a multiple manner, saying that "the best way to cement the relationship is to enhance mutual exchange visits." From there, he added, "we can cooperate for the benefit of projects in the third countries, for example in Africa. So I see that is an useful approach." Thus Israel and China can bring their capacities to benefit a lot of more people in the world, he concluded.
