A Jordanian-Iraqi-Syrian economic forum was organized on Saturday to promote cooperation between the three countries, especially in the industrial field. The forum was organized by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) in cooperation with Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) and the Amman Chamber of Industry (ACI). Director of the Economic and Social Council Jawad Al Anani stressed the importance of promoting trade relations between the three countries, praising the Iraqi decision to construct oil pipeline to Jordan. ASME President Fathi Jaghbeer outlined investments opportunities in Jordan, calling on businessmen from the three countries to cooperate and start joint projects. He also stressed the role of the private sector in enhancing cooperation and promote industrial ties, noting the need to remove obstacles that hinder cooperation between the three countries. A number of bilateral meetings were held on the sidelines of the forum on means to enhance industrial relations between the three countries.
