A combined delegation comprising representatives from the Civil Service Bureau (CSB) and the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) participated during the meetings of the Quartet Body of GCC Civil Service Bureaus and Human Resources departments in the GCC countries and discussed a draft principles of joint work in GCC Civil Service Bureaus and Human Resources bodies convened recently (on 19 June 2012) in Dubai, in the sisterly UAE. The Kingdom of Bahrain's delegation to the meeting was led by the general director in the CSB in charge of organization and balancing of jobs, Ali Mohammed Abulqadir, who in turn elaborated on the proposals reviewed by the GCC countries regarding a draft principles of GCC joint work submitted from the federal body for government human resources in the United Arab Emirates and endorsement of the final draft of this document including proposed restructuring of GCC committees in the GCC General Secretariat pertaining to the Civil Service and Administrative Development sector and determining the role of the GCC General Secretariat vis-à-vis this document, as well as committee jurisdiction, overall framework for performance indices of committees, and their work mechanism for upcoming period. This document and proposed restructuring of ministerial committee for the civil service bureaus and human resources and administrative development shall be submitted during the 11th meeting of their excellences the officials in charge of GCC civil service bureaus. The head of the delegation concluded his statement by saying that this has been a genuinely fraternally amicable inter-GCC meeting aimed at developing cooperation in the civil service and contributing into accomplishing the noble goals of the GCC countries in serving the best interest of all GCC citizens in various spheres.
