The index of costs of living for the month of November 2012AD, compared with the same period in 2011AD increased by 3.4%, according to the base year 2007. In its monthly statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Central Department of Statistics and Information said that the index of costs of living for November 2012AD recorded 124.4 points against 124.1 for the previous month of October which reflected the rise in the index of November by 0.2%, according to the base year 2007. The Department attributed the rise in 8 main sections of the index including restaurants and hotels by 1%; food and beverages by 0.4%; garments and shoes by 0.2 %; housing, water, electricity, gas, other fuels, recreation and culture by 0.2%; and home furnishings, equipment, maintenance, and transport by 0.1%.
