The Minister of Investments Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail has disclosed that the volume of Qatari investments in Sudan are estimated at more than two billion dollars, expecting them to jump to more than three billion dollars. The minister said, in statement to the Qatari News Agency (QNA), that the volume of current Qatari investments in Sudan reached two billion dollars concentrating in real estate, exchange office and agricultural sectors. The minister expected that Qatari investments to exceed three billion dollars after starting of Qatari Mining Company its investment in Sudan, revealing that the company will operate in 7 mining blocks and is expected to invest more than one billion dollars in this field. Dr. Ismail pointed out that the Gulf investments were the key investments in Sudan alongside the Chinese investments which assumed the first position on the list of investors. That is besides Malaysian, Turkish, European, Russian, Pakistani, Indian and Arab investments.
