Oman will host from October 10th to 12th deliberations of a conference on "Water Safety Plan for the Middle East and North Africa". To be organised by the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) in collaboration with the International Water Association (IWA), the three-day conference is the first of its kind to be held in the region with participation of a number of international and regional institutions and organizations specialized in water safety. As more as 100 specialists, experts and lecturers from scientific institutions in water quality field will take part in the three-day conference, according to Oman News Agency. The conference will tackle a number of major themes, which will include assessing and managing risks, monitoring water quality, as well as major legislations and laws of water quality, observing operation processes and methods of applying experiences related to water safety plan. As part of the conference''s programme, there will be a visit for all participants to power and water desalination plants in Barka.
