The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has concluded the first phase of emergency relief project for Rohingya Muslims and has provided in-kind assistance to around 200,000 affected people in Myanmar's Arakan state. The project was launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide emergency aid to the displaced Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar in the wake of the bloody atrocities against them. During the first phase, KZHF's bought three ambulance vehicles in addition to 1300 tons of basic relief items from the local market and shipped by sea to "Arakan" in Myanmar. Mohammed Haji Al Khouri, the Director-General of the foundation announced the completion of the first phase of the relief project. He also noted that KZHF was one of the first humanitarian organizations responding to the tragedy of Rohingya Muslims in Arakan since the early hours of the disaster. The UAE President had issued orders to provide humanitarian assistance for those affected by the events to alleviate their suffering.
